Valentine's Day, the Perfect Opportunity to Get Back With Your Ex

If you have just recently went through a break up with your boyfriend/girlfriend, and you want to make up and get back together. There couldn't be a better time than Valentine's day to make that happen. Valentines Day is one of the most popular day's of the year for couples to get back together after a break up. So why do so many couples get back together on Valentine's Day?

The answer is simple really, unlike all the other holiday's Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter.etc. that are traditionally spent with family and friends. Valentine's Day is traditionally set aside specifically for lover's. So this offer's the perfect opportunity for someone wanting to get back together with an ex lover. This is a time when your ex is missing you as much as your are missing them. And even more so if the break up has happened within the last couple of months.

Your ex is not going to fall back into your arms simply because it's Valentine's Day. But with some predetermined planning, it will offer a window of opportunity to begin a process that will help in rectifying the circumstances that led to your break up. There are some things to consider before you start you quest to get back together with your ex, and we'll get to those in just a moment. But first you are going to have to get together with your ex on Valentine's Day before you can start the process, right? So how are you going to do that? Try this.

Call your ex a day or two before Valentine's Day and say something like this: "Hi ______ You know Valentine's Day is coming up, and I was hoping we could put are differences aside for the a day and spend a little time together". Then shut up, don't rattle on and sound desperate. If you have been following my articles, you should get a positive response, because you haven't been calling constantly, you haven't been stalking them, and you have a good reason for calling. If you haven't been bothering them, then your ex is thinking about you also, and is probably expecting to hear from you and may even be hoping to.

Be prepared to offer suggestions for the date that would not make your ex feel like their being trapped into being alone with you, like dinner at your place. Dinner at a casual restaurant will make them feel less pressured. Bring a gift, but don't give it to them right away, stay away from gifts that are too romantic or shows a desperate attempt to impress them. Choose a gift that is simple but shows that you are in tune with their interests. If your ex enjoys reading a new release book would be a good gift, or if they are into video games, the newest game would be a good gift. Just remember to keep it simple and something that they are interested in.

Keep your conversation casual, and at no point bring up the subject of the break up. You don't want to remind them why the two of you broke up. Try to stay away from any subject that can somehow be associated with the break up. Instead talk about what's currently going on in each others life's, treat it as a first date without any open expectations. If your ex does happen to bring up the subject of the break up be prepared to discuss it but only if they bring it up. If the break up was your fault show your ex that you have gone back through the events that led to the break up and that you have a clear understanding of what he/she was upset about. If the break up was over something your ex did, do the exact same thing, your ex may not realize that he/she did anything wrong.

After dinner if your ex suggest to continue the date, accept, but do not make that suggestion yourself. At the end of the date tell your ex that you had a good time and you hope you can do it again. If you've made it this far you have completed a major step in getting back together with your ex. Don't blow it now, give your ex some time to digest the time they just spent with you. Don't call them right away, wait for another good reason to spend some time together. Unless of course your ex calls you. Or has specifically asked you to call.

Remember just because it's Valentine's Day doesn't mean your ex is magically fall back into your arms. It's just the perfect opportunity for you to begin the make up process. Be patient not pushy.

Over a half million couples in the United States alone break up every day, only 25% ever get back together. "The Magic of Making Up" has help over 50,000 people in 77 countries reunite. If your a man or woman who wants to reunite with your ex this information is a must have.

Be Mine valentines cards

Valentine's Day: He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not!

I'm quite fascinated by the way that my grandchildren frequently adjust their statuses on Facebook from "In a Relationship" to "Single" and back again. It shows how quickly things can change.

This week I couldn't help but smile when my twelve-year-old grandson clicked on "In a relationship" and wrote the following on his wall "Well I haven't asked her out in person. I just put it like this ahead of time".

There is nothing like an optimist! Especially one that puts it out for the world to read before he asks the girl!

We all hope that the one who interests us will also be interested in us. Perhaps this is what fuels the marketing strategy for Valentine's Day. So many allow their emotions to soar or free fall based on the attention and romantic gifts that they receive or don't receive on February 14th.

It's wonderful to be loved but dangerous to base your self-image on what happens one day out of the year.

You can be very deeply loved by a person who does not necessarily meet the expectations of your hopelessly romantic desires. Don't be too quick to think that this means that they don't care!

On the other hand, you might be involved with someone who seems to meet the criteria of a Prince Charming on Valentine's Day but then brings heartache and disappointment on the other 364 days of the year! Words on a card can seem insincere, a romantic dinner can feel uncomfortable and even the sparkle of a diamond can lose its luster if that person only celebrates the day but doesn't cherish the relationship.

A long time ago, Juno nominee Kate Hammett-Vaughan said to me "We are never disappointed unless we have expectations". She was right! When you don't have expectations about what other people should or will do, you can enjoy contentment. The serendipity, of course, is that if you aren't expecting anything and something does happen, it becomes a pleasant surprise.

You don't have to give or receive cards, gifts or invitations in order to feel good about yourself on Valentine's Day. In fact, you don't even have to be in a romantic relationship to enjoy the day!

All you need to do is wink at yourself in the mirror in the morning, hum a little tune as you shower, choose to wear a smile and offer kind words to those who you care about. You will find at the end of the day that you have that warm, comfortable feeling that comes from loving yourself and loving your life.

And when it comes right down to it, you can't really be properly loved or genuinely love someone else until you have learned to loved yourself first.

So, don't worry about whether your status is "Single" or "In a relationship". Don't waste your time and energy wondering about why you don't have a special someone in your life or whether the one you care about will do something sweet on February 14th.

Just focus on having a lovely day!

Valentines Day Lingerie for Larger Women

February 14th is Valentines Day and there are three presents that are expected from men on these days: flowers (roses, red), chocolates (expensive, boxed) and lingerie (expensive, sexy). Lingerie shopping actually peaks not around Christmas but around Valentines Day, and the good news is that there's now plenty of attractive plus size lingerie available for the larger lady.

What type of plus size lingerie should you buy?
Choosing the item of lingerie you're going to buy can be a minefield for men. The first thing that affects the decision is how long you have been together, and whether you've bought her lingerie before.

If this is the first time, then you should aim to be more conservative in your purchases. Unless you know her underwear drawer consists of only thongs, then going straight for the skimpiest set you can find might be a little presumptuous. Settle instead for something more classic, such as a pair of opaque stockings. There are plenty of hold ups (thigh highs as they are called in the US), and also now you can get suspender stockings, which are one of the most popular items in the store we run. They are stockings with a built in garterbelt, making them more like tights (pantyhose), but keeping the allure of stockings.

Another good choice for the first time plus size lingerie purchaser is a babydoll. The babydoll is a negligee that tends to be more skimpy and often can be made from lace or mesh, so is see-through. As a type of lingerie, it's ideal for both those looking for something conservative or for something more adventurous, because there's such a range of babydolls. You can get ones that have opaque cups and lace skirts, ones made completely from satin, strapped backs, cupless - yes, the list goes on. So, you can generally find something that fits the level of raunchiness and spend you are looking for. Just make sure you get the right size, and that you check the material and the cut of the babydoll both back and front.

If you have been together longer, and you're ready to be more adventurous in buying lingerie, then corsets gave proved very popular recently. There are plenty of plus size corsets available, and you can also look at plus size basques, which are often considered the same as corsets, but the difference is technically that corsets lace up at the back, while basques fasten at the front or side, and often use hook and eye rather than lace.

You can also consider knickers (panties), but even though it is Valentines Day lingerie, don't just look at the thongs. There are plenty of different types of underwear, and some boy short styles are incredibly sexy, especially the ones that are lace up. Take a look at the options, before opting for the obvious choice and your lady will likely be much more impressed.

Buying Valentines Day Lingerie online

Plus size lingerie is not very well stocked by the high street stores, but there are plenty of online retailers who specialise in underwear for larger women. Google is your first stop here, but try and make sure of a few things before clicking the buy button.

1) Have you got the right size, and what is the store's policy on exchanges?

2) It's quite likely that you will want to buy the lingerie early so as to ensure you have it for her on the day, so make sure that your store has a Valentines Day returns policy. A good shop will extend the returns date beyond the compulsory or usual returns length, so that you can swap it if need be. (The normal terms will apply - such as that it must be unworn, obviously).

3) What is the delivery estimate? Ensure that the lingerie can be got to you in time, which is one reason to shop early. Stock levels often run low in the run up to Valentines Day, so purchasing early makes sense.

Buying plus size lingerie for Valentines Day is a great idea - it's a present that shows how attractive you find your partner, and you follow our simple advice, your purchase should be a great hit.

Saint Valentine
And A Brief History Of Valentine's Day

The next time you're thinking of purchasing a Valentine's Day gift for your beloved, you might want to ponder the fact that the holiday was named for an early Christian martyr named Saint Valentine. Legend has it that though Valentine was celibate himself, he secretly married young men who were forbidden to do so by a law established by the Roman Emperor Claudius II who believed that married men made for poor soldiers. Claudius had Saint Valentine arrested and it is likely that he was executed soon after.

It wasn't until the Middle ages and the Renaissance, when the idea of romantic and courtly love began to take hold that the holiday began to take on the spirit with which it is know today. A High Court of Love (it dealt with love contracts, betrayals, and violence against women) was established in Paris on February 14, 1400. Romantic references began to appear in the poetry of Geoffrey Chaucer, William Shakespeare and John Donne.

The commercial underpinnings of the holiday began when cards and verses began to appear in early 19th century England. Hand written notes on Paper Valentines became so popular that factories were established to mass-produce them. Lace and ribbons were added and, by mid-century, half the population was spending money on Valentines. Valentine's Day cards were first produced in the United States in 1847.

The practice of sending cards dominated the marketplace until the 1950s when gift giving began to become popular. A gift of flowers or candy became commonplace. Soon after, the jewelry industry began to promote Valentine's Day gifts with a special emphasis on diamonds.

Today the internet offers an added impetus to giving gifts in general and Valentine's Day in particular. Coupons, e-cards and gift ideas and promotions have all added additional opportunities and flair to one of the world's most popular holidays.

While sending cards and gift giving is the predominant way that Valentine's Day is celebrated, a number of countries have additional customs that are observed. In Lithuania and Latvia, celebrants paste stickers on their friend's faces and clothing. In India, various media outlets hold Love Letter Competitions. In many countries there are traditional variants of Valentine's Day that stem from their own cultural mythologies. Nevertheless the western version, with all its commercial trimmings, is beginning to take hold. Some Islamic countries have even banned the holiday altogether and occasionally black market sales of Valentine's Day cards and gifts have been created.

Valentine's Day is a favorite holiday for those who have someone special in their lives. When you're thinking about giving a Valentine's Day gift to that someone special this year, remember to smile up at Saint Valentine - the Christian martyr who started it all.

Valentine's Day Arts And Crafts Projects

Valentine's day is just round the corner, and it's time for young children to engage in some fun arts and crafts projects. Here are some ideas that you may find useful.

Preparation phase

For this special occasion, the core symbol that we are going to create is the heart. To do that, we are going to need some basic teacher materials. The essential materials include:

1) A pair of scissors.
2) Color paper and cardboard sheets (if available).
3) Paper glue.
4) Any form of decorative materials that is available to you.

Decorative materials don't have to be costly. When bought in bulk, they can be rather affordable. Some examples include ribbons, soft colored paper, wrapping paper, colored strings, etc.

Of course, these are just essential materials that you'll need. You are not limited to using just these materials alone. With a little creativity, you can turn useless materials such as used magazines and newspapers into nice little items. Here are a couple of projects to get you started.

Giant heart

For this project, here is what you will be doing.

1) Cut out a giant heart. The size depends on the size of the paper that is available to you. Ideally, it should be 12" x 18" or bigger. Letter size is a little too small for what we are about to do. The color doesn't really matter. The giant heart will serve as the background for what is about to come.

2) Now, cut out little hearts using the color paper that's available to you. Cut out enough to fill up the border of the giant heart. Use paper glue to attach these little hearts, which are created from different colored paper, to the perimeter of the giant heart. You now have a giant heart that is nicely decorated with small little colorful hearts. The little hearts can also be cut into different sizes.

3) Leave a little space in the middle of the giant heart. Then in the middle, pick your favorite Valentine's poem and use a black or silver marker to write the poem in the middle. If there is not enough space, simply select a quotation and write it there. You now have a meaningful Valentine's Day gift to give away. If you are working with children, you can select a variety of quotes and poems for children to choose from.

Decorative boxes

Boxes serve a more practical function. They can be used to store things, or they can be used as decorative ornaments. Here is how you can create a good looking Valentine's Day Box.

1) Use the cardboard paper that you have and create the basic shape of a box. A box has six sides. If you are going to make a different cover, simply cut out enough for five sides. Use paper glue to stick the sides together.

2) You now have a basic box that you can decorate. You can pick a simple design and just cut out hearts and flowers to stick on the box. Or you can get a little creative and place animal faces on the box. The nose and eyes can be heart shaped, but of different colors.

Whatever design that you have decided to put together, remember that it's the fun that you are having with the children that counts. So create a memorable experience and have fun!

Valentine's Day - Great Gifts for Your Man Without Breaking the Bank

Every February 14, across the United States and around the world, candy, flowers and gifts are exchanged between loved ones all in the name of Saint Valentine. Every year American spend upwards of thirteen million dollars on this holiday of love. But is it really necessary to take out a loan to show your man you love him? I think not. There are many gifts that won't break the bank and will still show him you care.

Think practical, getting him something that he can use it much better then something that will just collect dust on his dresser. Why not get him a personalized lighter that says "You light up my life" or a pocket watch that tells him, "One Lifetime isn't enough". Think about what he enjoys doing. If you man loves to golf then why not get him a personalized golf divot set or if he is really into fixing things a Leatherman would be a great choice. Maybe he is really into his car then why not get him a key chain that professes your love to him on it.

Maybe you're in love with a foodie then why not surprise him with a beer brewing kit and to go with that new beer brewing kit why not get him a set of personalized pint glasses. He would love for you to cook him dinner mom always said the way to a man's heart is through his stomach and at the end of the meal you can toast to your love with personalized champagne glasses. Looking to spice things up then how about chocolate hand cuffs or Horney Toad gummies? Maybe a great pair of boxers or a naughty board game are what you need. A shot glass set or flask will really get things heated up.

If he just entered the professional world then why not a great pen set or personalized money clip he can show off at the office. A business card hold would really make him feel important as well as a great set of customized cuff links and matching tie clip.

Whatever you choose to get your man this Valentine's Day make sure it is something that will reflect the love that the two of you share and the way he makes you feel. Remember it doesn't have to be expensive there are tons of great gifts out there that won't break the bank.
